dc.description.abstract This article deals with the problems of desalination of sea water. Modern methods of desalination were analyzed, and there were given advantages and disadvantages. A new desalination scheme was proposed - a heliodistillation unit. The principle of operation is described with installation. The distillate capacity of the unit is calculated as a function of solar radiation based on the heat balance equation and the Stefan-Boltzmann law. ru
