dc.description.abstract The article examines the influence of Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Soft Skills on interpreters in Kazakhstan. Our data comes from official statistics, interviews with interpreters, and a review of relevant literature. Through case studies, we have identified the daily challenges faced by interpreters. We propose that EI and Soft Skills are valuable in helping interpreters overcome these challenges, ultimately improving their work quality, well-being, and career development. We have categorized the essential skills that interpreters find crucial and explored their self-perception within this profession. This research highlights the significant role of EI and Soft Skills in interpretation, providing valuable insights into their impact on interpreters' professional lives. It serves as a foundational study for future research in this area. ru
