dc.description.abstract This article is devoted to the problem of terminology and definition of the concept of reading literacy. The article provides thorough diachronic analysis of this term. Various aspects of reading literacy are analyzed, in particular, the acmeology of reading, urban literacy, autonomous and ideological literacy models, literacy as a social practice, etc., their characteristics are given. The article also provides an analysis and classification of the definitions of the concept of literacy. Based on the common features and differences of concepts, literacy, reading and reading literacy, updated and supplemented definitions of are given these concepts are given. ru
