dc.description.abstract In language contact the notion “interference” was introduced by U. Weinreich that referred to the influence of one language on another in the speech of bilinguals. Currently, the linguists emphasize a complex and multifaceted nature of interference, as a phenomenon of a two-way interaction that has both a negative and positive impact in the bilingualism context. In order to identify linguistic interference, the research method as associative experiment is chosen. The aim of the study is to analyze interference appeared while providing the immediate associations on historical terms-realia by graduate students. The notion term-realia introduced by A. D. Schweitzer is applied as the proposed stimulus words can be exactly defined neither historical realia nor terms. The article provides the information on interference, terms and realia, the position of an associative experiment in general and in Kazakhstani linguistics in particular. It discusses the results of the performed associative experiment with the provided list of words-reactions on stimulus words. ru
