Abstract:
In the system of modern domestic education, the problem of professional-pedagogical activity of teachers is one of the
most popular and relevant, deserving separate empirical research and further practical study. This article aims to consider
the role of a social teacher in society and reviews the research potential of a social teacher. Opportunities such as advanced
training courses in research capacity development, ICT courses, speech at scientific conferences, participation in
professional competitions, project works, master classes, and participation in network communities of social teachers are
identified. The features of each opportunity noted in the development of research capacity are discussed in detail. Essential
features of the notion's potential and research potential are disclosed in the article. Structural elements of the pedagogical
model on three stages of teacher’s research potential development at the system of further professional training.
