Abstract:
The article discusses ways to bring the population to mass media literacy in the
modern large-scale information space. The article provides an overview of the measures taken
by the State in this direction. In particular, the article studies the impact of the state program
«Digital Kazakhstan» on the lives of Kazakhstanis, a new model of digitalization of the economy.
In addition, the article differentiates the disadvantages that arise from the lack of partial media
literacy in society. Concrete actions are outlined to organize work on improvement in the media
space, and the need to involve competent authorities for effective work is formulated. It also
outlines the need to adopt a program at the state level to cover all categories of the population on
media literacy and attempts to solve it. The author of the article seeks to prove that media culture
is an instrument of direct influence on the culture of the state and the nation as a whole, noting
that developed countries pay special attention to media literacy.
