Abstract:
The article considers the work of both domestic and foreign psychological and
pedagogical research, which considered the peculiarities of the personal development of a high
school teacher. The scientific and practical significance of research and typological classification
of personality traits of high school teachers and their theoretical and methodological basis in
pedagogical and psychological sciences are shown.
The importance of students’ perception of the personality traits of high school teachers and its
theoretical and experimental aspects were studied. There was analyzed a need for the development
of personal qualities of high school teachers and various pedagogical and psychological ways to
influence it. The experimental study revealed some generalized, i.e. typological features in the
personal development of higher school teachers, and their description is given in the work.
